No problem! Here's a way to use the Mischief cards as dice. Each card can give you a random number between 1 and 6. Here's how:

Count the number of words in the title and subtract 2 (minimum 1, maximum 6). Words with apostrophes or hyphens count as one word.

This also works with the reroll cards -- just replace any Mischief card on the table with the value of your reroll card (count the words in the reroll card instead of the Mischief card it's replacing). And as for the Average Joe: every Mischief card he plays always rolls a 4.

That's all you need to know. But if you're interested in probability, here's the gist. Regular dice have an equal chance of rolling each number.

But this is a bit ad-hoc, so the odds shift a little.

Turns out, the average is still pretty close. A regular die gives you an average of 3.5 and this clocks in at 3.2. Feel free to give it a shot on days when you can't quite seem to scrounge enough six-siders.
